What color roses for my wedding?

Ok. I am getting married in october. I am wearing a traditional white wedding dress, my engagement ring is a center emerald stone with diamond accents on the side. My bridesmaids are wearing emerald green dresses. (Green is my favorite color) I was thinking of having red roses as my main flower (in my bouquet and my bridesmaids) but I don't want it to seem like a Chistmas wedding! How can I use red roses, green dresses, and NOT look Christmasy? Help? (And I don't want to have it in december, because my dress is strapless, and the wedding is outside!?) :/ ???
