I feel pain in my bone next to my calf?

i used to have cramps in my right calf ... i still do though ... but after the cramp ends ... the muscle does not hurt but the bone next to it does ... why ? and how to stop cramps ??? my right calf is bigger than the left one ... i guess its because of the cramps i used to have ... any help would be appreciated thanks :D
