Royal Navy: Fleet Air Arm promotions?

There is not much FAA left now, I should imagine there will be a lot of redundancies leading to a slowing up of the promotion list. It is a good life, if you want to be an officer then join as one, don't join as a rating in the hope you will get to be an officer.
