Why do bananas cause twitching?

It had happened to me too. I finally had to gave up eating bananas, as I realized that I had developed an allergy to bananas. I so miss banana cream pie. Stop eating bananas, the classic worse spots are in the ears, and the knees, and where you have corners. The next place is the back of the throat - sort of itchy and sore. It becomes itchy (it happens along with the ear thing). Don't take any further, it may cause edema (your throat will close).
